Detailed Description
Support the product line management team
In this position, you assume an operational, outgoing role in the EMEA-APAC region of the Cement Division, where you apply your commercial, communicative and technical skills to win in the market. Thus, you hold a key supporting role in a global setup, where you are to deliver results and meet customer expectations in an ever-changing environment. More specifically, you:
· Track market performance (order intake, revenue, CM, Quality, claims, customer feedback) and use this to help develop, maintain or discontinue products
· Support regional sales in proposing and selling products through your compelling product presentations and promising value propositions
· Do market forecasting and keep a close eye on the performance of competitors’ products
· Participate actively in developing marketing plans and sales materials, just as you establish performance guarantees and warranties
· Report to the General Manager of Products & Upgrades EMEA-APAC and collaborate closely with Global and Regional Product Line Managers as well as Engineering
Job Requirements
Sociable finisher with technical expertise
· You have substantial technical experience from the cement industry, and hands-on experience with service deliveries as well as linking market and products.
· We imagine that you are an engineer, who wants to broaden your view and collaborate with customers or that you have a background in sales combined with technical flair.
· You have an ability to truly communicate with and understand our customers’ expectations, and any knowledge of FLSmidth equipment and functionalities is a plus.
· You speak and write English effortlessly.
· You can travel 60-120 days a year.
To succeed, you are a finisher, who finds your motivation in helping customers make the obvious choice. So, you like working with people, presenting and communicating information. And while you will not win every deal, you will need the persistency and creativity to give it a try. To do so, you bring a can-do personality and the ability to cooperate across functions, cultures and levels of seniority.
