Job ID: 205924 Location: Vejle Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – http://www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: full time As a Team Lead of the Global Lifting Team you will be directly responsible for Lifting Specialists employed in Vejle, Denmark and you will be functionally responsible for all Lifting Specialists in Siemens Wind Power Offshore. This includes setting company official lifting standards and guidelines for small and big lifting operations and it includes setting the highest safety and performance standards. We expect you to be a natural and visible leader, and a manager who is capable of balancing regional and global synergies. You will be expected to set operational targets ensuring that the Lifting Specialists are seen as a visible and natural source of expertise and an integral part of Siemens Wind Power Offshore project teams. You will also take part in lifting equipment design, documentation and implementation. What are my responsibilities? • Promoting an operational and hands-on focused project culture where the highest safety standard goes hand in hand with operational excellence and progress • Ensuring that all relevant lifting documentation and policies comply with Siemens standards, local rules, regulation and legislation • Approving drawings for lifting purposes • Mentoring and coaching colleagues in safe lifting practice • Ensuring that all relevant project teams are aware of compliance and duties • Reviewing, improving and approving project related documentation regarding lifting operations • Continuously improving our standards and working procedures • Participating in safety related work and improvements regarding lifting operations What do I need to qualify for this job? • You are an experienced and strong focused manager with a proven leadership track record • You have experience in relation to complex heavy lift operations, reading and executing lifting drawings/plans • Experience with lifting guidelines and cross national legislation • Knowledge of cranes mainly offshore vessel cranes and crawler cranes • Strong safety culture and understanding • You possess good communication skills as your success depends on your ability of mentoring and co-operating with other people. Moreover, you have a good project understanding • It is essential that you speak and write both English and Danish fluently The position will be based in Vejle, Denmark, but will require some travelling activities of up to approximately 50 days per year.
