As soon as possible we are looking for a
Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Permanent position · Full-time / Part-time · Garching b. München
Your tasks:
- Be responsible for the entire product design chain of one of the subsystems (from concept to final product)
- Design and develop components and assemblies
- Prepare drawings and BOMs according to design guidelines
- Build test stands and prototypes in our own equipped workshop to verify the design process
- Research and decide on material selection, standard components, and innovative systems
- Prepare technical documentation for manufacturing and certification
- Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the integrity of the entire product
Your profile:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a comparable discipline
- Several years of experience in similar positions in Germany is an advantage, ideally in the areas of elevator construction or construction machinery
- Sound experience with CAD software, preferably with SOLIDWORKS
- Knowledge of material science and metal processing (steel welding, aluminum welding, laser cutting, water jet, forming, CNC, etc.)
- Experience in designing metal structures and lightweight frames
- Experience with FEM analysis is an advantage, preferably with SOLIDWORKS simulation and/or ANSYS
- Knowledge of German industry standards is an advantage
- Experience in dealing with suppliers
- Hands-on experience in prototyping is an advantage
- Strong problem solving skills and independent working style
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Proficiency in German is an advantage
