Skilled and curious Java developer wanted for the Calypso development team in Capital Markets area in Nordea.
In collaboration with others you are eager to develop excellent IT solutions that make business processes efficient.
The position we offer
In the Global Securities department we are 4 teams on different locations – in total around 60 people.
We are all working on the Calypso system (Front to Back) and the same code base. We are developing the system in close cooperation with our business.
We are working agile and currently we have 8 scrum teams.
The Calypso IT team is responsible for developing and maintaining the Calypso front to back system.
The system handles STP deal capture and settlement and information to and from other systems.
We work with a broad range of open source tools like Linux (Redhat), Git, Gradle, Java, Eclipse, Tomcat, JBoss, SonarQube, PMD and FindBugs.
As Senior Developer you will be engaged in the following:
- Development of new functionalities in the system
- Analysis of business requirements
- Being part of the discussions about best practices in the team
- Provide technical feedback and insights to the team
- Ensure good code quality
- Evaluate solution designs
- Support and maintenance of the system and the development tools
We expect you to be an engaged Java developer with broad technical knowledge and keen interest to apply new technology and techniques encom-passing the whole system.
You will be part of a collaborative team and must enjoy working with others and naturally help out when needed.
Agile development and continuous integration is very much on the agenda in our team and you will be a natural part in that.
The qualifications you need
Preferably you have a master degree or likely.
The right person has a positive attitude, is committed and likes to work in teams.
We expect you to:
- Possess strong java skills
- Be eager to learn new tools and explore better ways of doing things
- Understand the full software development lifecycle with exposure to an array of technologies including development languages and testing tools
- Have high quality standards of deliveries
- Want to understand the purpose of the development and potentially carry out business analysis
- Take responsibility and act where needed
- Supports the continuous delivery journey and the automated testing effort
- Preferably you hold Java development certification
Knowledge about Capital Markets is considered advantageous.
Nordea is an international company hence we expect you to speak and write English fluently.
The job is based in Høje Taastrup, Greater Copenhagen area Denmark.
