We are now looking for a Product Manager, Balance of Plant to join our Balance of Plant & Lifecycle Management. This position will be driving continuous development, improvement and maintenance of the product portfolio for the Balance of Plant in Energy - in terms of technology, quality and supply chain. The Product Manager will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and, in a virtual setup with Product Teams, ensure that the products under responsibility meet requirements for both newbuild- and services in order to maximize competitiveness, customer satisfaction as well as sales revenue and -profit.
Location: The position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidates will be located in Vaasa, Turku or Helsinki, Finland.
What will you be doing?
As Product Manager, Balance of Plant your work will include these responsibilities:
- Take the overall ownership of the Balance of Plant portfolio for Energy power plants, to ensure customer value, competitiveness, functionality as well as quality & safety.
- Develop and maintain the spare part strategy for the Balance of Plant product portfolio
- Participate in product development projects with focus on lifecycle aspects
- Build a solid and well-defined way-of-working with connected Product Teams and other stakeholders.
- Improve the quantity and quality of spare parts related information from suppliers in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage a broad range of stakeholders and continuously drive improvements of collaboration and way-of-working
- Supporting to take a central lead of product teams - to align targets, follow-up and report execution, and develop the Product Team - process
The positions are offered with the following requirements:
- Relevant MSc. or BSc.
- Solid understanding and experience of Wärtsilä's product portfolio for Energy-applications
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Thinking out-of-the-box and challenging conventional ways of working
- Strategic mindset and scenario work, seeing the big picture and plan for the future
- Analytical skills, as well as creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Planning and execution skills
You will shine in this role if you have knowledge of:
- Professional experience in product management - roles, preferably combined with engineering, business development or technology development
- Solid understanding and experience of Wärtsilä's product portfolio for Energy-applications
- Solid understanding and experience of Wärtsilä's lifecycle business and -services
- Ability to translate received product improvement feedback (external/internal) into rapid resolution plans and corrective actions.
