At Digital Markets in Nordea, we are creating an extraordinarily user-centric, responsive web application. Our aim is to offer a one stop shop to our customers in a state-of-the-art web based platform, and continuously add new areas to our offering.
We want a high quality scalable solution that turns complex workflows into straightforward user journeys for our customers, and we need your skills within UI engineering to get us there!
The position we offer
You will use your extensive web front end development experience to ensure a high quality solution for complex UI flows. You will also be implementing the new concepts which are introduced on the platform over coming years.
We believe that quality goes hand in hand with ownership, so we are looking for someone to be strong co-owners of our platform components. This also means that you will be part of maintaining and supporting what you develop.
We obviously use the latest in web development tools and work in an agile setting, so daily stand ups and UI/UX reviews will be integrated parts of your everyday work.
The qualifications you need
You could hold a master’s degree in engineering or science. Furthermore, you are an experienced front end developer with experience in developing large scale responsive web applications.
Need to have: Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and JavaScript frameworks (your preference is likely to be within the HTML/CSS area).
Nice to have: Experience with AngularJS, CSS/SASS/LESS frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation), building and testing tools (Gulp/Grunt, AMD/RequireJS, Karma/Protractor) and Git/Stash.
We believe that great ideas come from people who combine high technical competence with business insight. Therefore, you are curious and very motivated for learning about the financial markets.
English is our working language and the language used on our platform, so you are fluent in written and spoken English.

Over the past 10 years, Digital Markets has been instrumental in changing the Markets business. We are now focusing on the next steps for our e-business area, and we have very high ambitions of creating a unique user experience. We have equally high ambitions for an outstanding UI design and implementation, and we use the latest in web development tools and agile processes to achieve our goals. We are eight people in the Nexus Trading and Advisory team, and we are located on the trading floor in Copenhagen.
