About the programme

Nordea has defined a customer-oriented future vision and launched the Simplification programme to build the needed capabilities to reach that vision. As a part of Simplification efforts, Core Banking Programme (CBP) is delivering a new, common platform for core banking products and customer data. We are not only installing a new common IT system, but also rebuilding the bank’s product portfolio, harmonizing related processes and supporting Nordea to prepare for the largest transformation it has faced so far.

For our growing team we are looking for experienced Agile Coaches.



The qualifications you need

As an Agile Coach in CBP you will be coaching and helping teams, ensuring agility and excellent deliveries. Therefore we expect you to be passionate about creating an environment of trust and great dynamics, where people perform their best and work together as a team. Where people have fun while delivering and where they are confident in raising impediments and issues.

We value the personal skills in our preferred candidates. Therefore we expect you to be able to tick off most of the listed values below.

Personal Skills for an Agile Coach:

•Servant Leader – Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done

•Communicative and social – Must be able to communicate well with teams

•Facilitative – Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team

•Assertive – Must be able to ensure agile concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.

•Situationally Aware – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management

•Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy

•Continual improvement - Must continually be growing one’s craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team

•Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches

•Attitude of empowerment - Must be able to lead a team to self-organization

•Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust

You know your agile methods and you are excellent at them. Finally, your technical skills are excellent; you know the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development, you know the various agile and lean processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and know when to apply the various techniques to provide value to a team. You also understand the basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.

As a person you are a fast learner, eager to learn, you are easy and pleasant to work with and you are genuinely interested in helping other people succeed. You have probably worked in several agile set-ups, you have some international experience, you don’t mind travelling and you understand the difference between doing and being agile (and you practise the latter).
