The Opportunity

  • Support technology & equipment installation, upgrades and repairs and provide constructive feedback to engineers, tire designers and plant leadership
  • Evaluate existing or develop new processes, using data analysis methods to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Manage Audit System and support quality systems (incl. Plant Certification, Testing, supplier & customer claims, internal release, etc...). Maintain PFMEA's
  • Train and develop others on machine/equipment setup and operations
  • Ensure the execution of the daily production requirements, coordinating with other team members, and others as necessary, to deliver the planned results
  • Verify and maintain process/machine settings & reliability to ensure proper operation Recognize abnormal situations and work with team members to identify and resolve equipment or process related issues
  • Continually drive to a zero- loss, zero-defects, zero-waste process
  • Use plant optimization to drive consistency and improved performance overall, making final decisions on process changes. Lead FI projects to make improvements to processes/product and flow

To join our team you will need:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or manufacturing technology (or equivalent). A Master Degree will be considered as an asset.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 3-5 years industrial facility experience in production team will be considered as an asset. 2 years in a tire manufacturing environment will be considered as an asset 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in automated production environment is an asset
  • Prior experience in a Lean manufacturing environment
  • Networking and Information Technology experience desired
  • Coaching/ Team building experience desired
  • Experience with Quality Management and Audit systems is desired
  • Ability to operate both manual and automated industrial machinery
  • Strong customer focus, both internal and external
  • Ability to troubleshoot / improve mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to define and follow documented procedures
  • Working knowledge of data acquisition, production planning, Statistical Process Control
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Strong sense of urgency, self-initiative
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and technical documentation skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
