Tasks:

  • Plant mechanics manufacture and maintain pipeline systems for water, gas, oil or district heating. For the most part, they use standard tubes.

  • Special parts, such as branches or bends, which can not be finished by hand, are manufactured on their own.

  • They connect the pipe sections to a load-bearing and sealed pipe

  • Depending on the material of the pipe, they weld, glue or screw the individual pieces.

  • They also install branches, gate valves and measuring devices.

  • Afterwards they perform a leak test.

  • They also carry out repairs and maintenance work on pipes, for example, they repair pipe joints or connect households to a supply network.

     

Requirements:

  • German language skills at least B1 in speaking and writing

  • Completed vocational training as a plumber and pipe fitter

  • Dexterity and eye-hand coordination

  • Body control and dizziness

  • Technical understanding

  • Team ability and good physical constitution

  • Practical knowledge

  • Applicants must have a driving license and be mobile in order to be able to reach the building sites themselves

     

Frame conditions and benefits for employees:

  • Contract: permanent

  • Collective wage agreement: Construction tarif

  • Working hours: full-time

  • Help with finding an accommodation, support with the authorities. An apartment can also be provided during the first months (payed by your salary).

 

Location: Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany.
