We are looking for highly talented and self-motivated Firmware Engineers with a special interest in Quality Assurance to join our Firmware team in our global R&D and Innovation Center located in Kolding, Denmark.

Depending on your profile and experience you will either lead or support the way we approach testing of our firmware platform on which we build our renowned 3-phased UPS systems. 

To ensure we meet our quality standards, you will be key in driving the firmware agenda regarding regression test, automation, and continuous testing. Furthermore, you will be involved in supporting our hardware platform on both real and simulated systems.   

The Firmware team consist of highly skilled engineers, a Scrum Master and a Product Owner, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues with different specialist backgrounds operating on various technologies such as microprocessors, soft cores, FPGA and SoC in an agile environment.

Your key responsibilities

•    Define and/or execute our test strategy to ensure we maintain the highest level of product quality

•    Collaborate with your team colleagues to further improve in-house practices of writing and implementing test specs to reach the required test coverage

•    Collaborate globally to ensure the timely delivery of firmware releases 

Preferred qualifications

•    You have a degree in computer science, electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent

•    Experience with Python and C/C++ for embedded systems

•    Interest in Test Driven Development 

•    Knowledge and hands-on experience with one or more Test Management Systems, Defect Tracking tools and Automation tools 

•    Disruptive and analytical mindset to gain in-depth system understanding while challenging status quo

•    Good communication skills to convert your system understanding into clear test strategies and test cases

•    An interest in building physical prototypes and doing practical work is a plus but not a requirement

•    It is an advantage if you have experience with GIT, VHDL, Jenkins or embedded Linux
