Material Technician

The opportunity

• Assist Material Engineer in logistic operations around experimental compounds in EMEA.
• Organize compound sampling from the plants as well as basic lab studies for plant support.
• Use statistical tools to analyze repeatability of material processing as well as tire building in plant environment.
• Give technical guidance to improve material uniformity and Win in OE initiatives.
• Organize experimental compound flow from a logistic point of view inside and outside of GIC*L.
• Run SPC charts on OE compounds to assure a sustainable material uniformity in EMEA region
• Follow-up on critical build wires in the plants by verifying materials and checklists. 
• Follow environment, health, and safety standard-s/procedures and promote positive, proactive safety practices within your team.

To join our team you will need:

Education:

• The candidate should have a technical Degree or equivalent certification or High School Diploma

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in production environment and/or R&D operations
• 3 years of experience in industrial facility will be considered as an asset
• Experience in compound mixing is preferred.

Languages:

• English Is must. Any other language will be considered as an asset

Skills & Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of data acquisition, data processing and running charting systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork and collaboration skills
• Willing to learn new skills to add to team efficiency
