Application Engineer for Safety Applications (f/m)
Job description
In this position, you will actively drive the development of safety solutions in our next-generation magnetic sensors in collaboration with global automotive TIER1 and OEM.
Your key responsibilities are:
- definition of technical safety requirements for our sensors
- verification of safety concepts according to ISO26262 (DFA, FTA, FMEDA)
- safety documentation, like safety manual
- contribute to the definition and implementation of our sensors in close cooperation with our system, concept-, design- and verification engineers
- design-in our products in safety critical applications

You combine diligence and passion for detail on the one hand with a pragmatic mindset on the other hand.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- excellent technical skills, based on Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or comparable
- at least 2 years of experience in electronic systems or semiconductor development
- basic knowledge of functional safety standard ISO26262
- some experience in customer communication and support
- fluent English skills with German as a strong plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelt…). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
