We are a leading global supplier of laboratory automation and process control systems to the cement and minerals industries. We are dedicated to providing design, engineering and commissioning of systems based on FL Smidth's softwaresystems Quality Control by Computer and X-ray (QCX), ProcessExpert and BlendExpert.
Brief Description
As an application engineer you will engineer and install FLSmidth's automation systems and ensure they run smoothly at the plants to the satifaction of our customers.
Detailed Description
Job Describtion and Objectives of the Job
* ensure inspection, testing and commissioning of equipment and software around the world
* use of analytical tehcniques such as XRF, XRD, PGNAA as well as sampling, sample preparation, particle sizing
* optimise performance to meet promised guarantees at costumer sites
* provide feed back and reporting on quality issues
* assist sales in technical issues, e.g. proposal work
* contribute to setting standards for equipment and tests
* troubleshooting

Job Requirements
Formal professional qualifications
Your educational background is not the most important. It can be within geology, chemistry or electrical engineering. Probably we will prefer a candidate with a relevant masters degree. You need to be able to combine software, equipment and analysis to control a process. You are excited about integrated solutions and systems, and you have an interest to know processes in depth, e.g. what qality control for cement requires of our systems.
