With almost 9.000 employees, Region Dalarna is the largest and most important employer in the region. The largest part of Region Dalarna is the healthcare sector with approx. 7.500 employees. This area includes primary care with 25 healthcare centers in the region, specialist care with 6 general hospitals and a psychiatric hospital as well as dental health care with 20 clinics within general dental care, specialist care and a mentorship clinic.
Since 2001, we have successfully recruited international employees with over 50 different nationalities. We have an excellent program that introduces and welcomes new recruits to Dalarna. Our passionate team will assist you with contacting the necessary authorities, which leads to becoming an integral part of our Swedish society. We can also aid in finding suitable housing and helping your partner or family to settle in.
We also provide a 22-week long paid Swedish course in order for international candidates to reach Swedish level C1 which is the level needed in order to apply for a license to practise. Our Swedish course is completely uniqe and run by very experienced teachers in medical Swedish.
