To succeed in this role, we expect You to be a self-driven relationship builder with proven track record in running Change Management initiatives. You will need a solid understanding of operations in the shopfloor environment and ideally also have had exposure to the Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives. In this position you are reporting to the General Manager, Workshop Operations Development. The preferred location is anywhere where Wärtsilä is represented with a Workshop.

We are looking for a Manager Operational Excellence, who is focusing on driving continuous improvement and excellence in our workshop footprint. For this role we are looking for an inspirational and dedicated expert with positive attitude and proven experience to lead the workshop operational excellence journey.



What will you be doing?



Your work will focus, but are not limited to, these responsibilities:

• Driving the workshop OE journey, aiming to establish a profound OE culture in workshops to enhance customer satisfaction and optimising operations
• Train and coach workshop staff regarding OE practices and enable them to run OE waves and sustain the results
• Act as subject matter expert for Operational Excellence and take the role of OE wave Manager for pilot waves in specific workshop locations
• Orchastrate the Workshop OE Community to enable cross-fertilization and best practice sharing among workshops
• Take an active role in Wärtislä’s OE community to bring in learnings from other environments into workshops and vice versa
  
   

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

• Professional experience in a production / assembly environment and good understanding of respective value chains
• Proven track record in managing changes in an multi-disciplinary environment
• Valuable experience in operations management especially in continuous improvement, LEAN and 5S is a strong plus
• Excellent analytical skills allowing you to strive for operational excellence
• Strong communication and influencing skills, fluenecy in English is a must
• Proven project management skills
• Passion and comfort in providing training to colleagues on different levels
