We are looking for a Director, Supply Chain Management to our Project Management organisation. As a Director you will lead a large and diverse team with competences ranging in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, Supply Quality, Project Procurement, Project Logistics and Project Subcontracting. Additionally, you will be responsible for safe and profitable operations of our Khopoli factory in India. The end goal of this position is to secure that our factory, suppliers and subcontractors as well as the logistics providers are fit for Energy business requirements with the objective to deliver safely, on time, in quality and at the lowest total cost to meet the commitments with our customers.
You will be a member of the Management Team for Energy Project Management, reporting to Vice President, Project Management.
Location: The preferred location is in Europe, in the existing Energy hubs.
Responsibilities:
- Define the Supply Chain strategy for engine power plant business in line with Energy Business strategic priorities, and seamlessly execute the strategic action plans.
- Lead and encourage team of 150+ people to grow their capability and achieve or exceed the set goals with an effective performance management system and fit-for-purpose KPIs.
- Ensure talent development in the organisation and ensure every employee has a qualitative personal development plan
- Initiate and drive the developments of Supply Chain Management operations
- Develop suppliers to meet the business needs and to improve business competitiveness in terms of on time delivery, quality, cost, cash flow and lead time.
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders to agree on common goals and action plans, as for instance new product development and introductions (take-to-market) both with external suppliers and with Khopoli factory.
- Ensure alignment and support to sales, product and project teams.
- Ensure safe and profitable operations at Khopoli factory in India, maximising the capacity utilization
- Responsible for all direct material spend in the business
- Secure compliance to agreements and quality of supplies
- Ensure timely and cost-efficient logistics and transport for project deliveries
- Ensure support for Energy product teams, sales and project teams
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- World-class knowledge of Supply Chain Management with proven track record in global business environment
- MSc degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management or Business Administration
- Good understanding of Energy Solutions business and how the end-to-end supply chain operations affect to business profitability
- Visionary and strategic thinking: able to see big picture and think out of the box
- Strong financial understanding and cost awareness
- Business minded and goal-oriented, drives for results with excellent planning and execution skills
- Entrepreneurial person with a can-do attitude and ability to transform business through change leadership
- Experienced in leading matrix teams and to communicate easily with various stakeholders in an international environment
- Strong influencing, networking and presentation skills are a must in this position. Fluent in both written and oral business English.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
