Kiernan Structural Steel are currently recruiting for Trainee Steel Erectors and experienced Steel Erectors for sites based in the Leinster & Munster regions. 

Main duties: 

  • Marking metal framework a a guide when drilling, cutting and shaping them for use in buildings and other structures
  • Drilling, cutting and shaping structural steel on construction sites 
  • Erecting steel framework for buildings and other constructions 
  • Assembling and erecting the framework and other metal parts of structures 
  • Shaping and fitting structural steel plates under construction or repair 
  • Riveting structural metal members by hand, machine or pneumatic riveter/ drill 
  • Laying down metal decking and fixing safety netting and edge rails/ protection 

Requirements: 

  • Safepass
  • Manual handling 
  • MEWP Licencee 
  • Banksman Slinger ticket
