You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on Daily Equipment Care: Verify machines are maintained properly, operate reliably, and provide consistent 'spec' cycle times. Maintain and improve existing process systems through calibration, process improvements, equipment modifications and installations. Develop / update preventative maintenance procedure and frequency. Drive to zero equipment breakdown.
  • Manage Process Control: Identify and help resolve issues quickly by working with your co-workers. Lead cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements and roll out best practices. Support regional implementation of equipment installation, upgrades and repairs and provide constructive feedback to engineers, tire designers, and leadership to continuously help improve this process.

To join our team you will need:

       Education:

  • Bachelor in mechanical or electrical, mechanical engineering in automation or equivalent apprenticeship

       Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of working experience will be considered as an asset
  • Networking and Information Technology experience desired

       Languages:

  • Good knowledge of English

       Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of English
  • Ability to operate both manual and automated industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of PLCs
  • Ability to troubleshoot / improve mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to follow documented procedures
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks or operate multiple equipment within any work day
  • Working knowledge of data acquisition, production planning, run charting systems
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers
  • Sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Good problem solving skills and self initiative
  • Position requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
