Promote a positive environmental profile with external stakeholders In Environmental Responsibility, you step into a global department of functional experts and thought leaders working to achieve the highest possible environmental performance through a commercial logic. By 2030, The LEGO Group has committed to finding sustainable alternatives to our core materials, and Environmental Responsibility plays a key role in fulfilling this promise. We also work to ensure that the Sustainable Materials Center (SMC), currently under construction at our headquarters in Billund, becomes a global beacon for sustainable materials. In the role as Senior Director, you become responsible for raising awareness of The LEGO Group as a responsible and sustainable company towards parents, children, employees, legislators and other relevant stakeholders. More specifically, you will: Set your own team with capabilities within sustainability, materials reputation, stakeholder engagement and partnership management Develop and drive a new approach to supply chain engagement in close collaboration with procurement and our social responsibility team Ensure balance between our reputational mission and sustainability technical ambitions Drive the development of the responsibility facility in the new SMC building Engage in debates and ensure alignment on difficult trade-offs and dilemmas regarding sustainability Make a positive impact for the builders of tomorrow From our headquarters in Billund, you get to work with a dynamic and motivated global team, addressing the entire value chain from the impact of raw materials through manufacture of products, distribution and use, and onto eventual reuse or recycling. Excellent networker and stakeholder engager with a passion for the environment To succeed in this position, you are able to facilitate collaboration and create synergy between complex stakeholder groups that often have opposing views. With your eye for strategy and planning, you know how to build and drive engagement and reputation plans into the minds of multiple stakeholders. You execute great leadership, enabling you to create a high-performance environment and manage a diverse team of deep functional experts.
