At Exiqon we strive to provide the best performing products for RNA research and we are expanding product offerings within RNA research and in particular within Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies in Vedbaek, Denmark. As a result, we are
looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join our Life Science team.
As Scientist you will participate in the development of our molecular biology reagents
and kits to support the entire workflow from RNA isolation over RNA expression profiling by NGS, qPCR and microarrays, to in depth characterization using in situ hybridization and functional analysis with LNA™ antisense technologies.
The position
Your primary tasks will be to develop reagents and kits for RNA research with a
particular focus on reagents applied in the NGS workflow, where we aim to exploit the
properties of LNA™ to create unique products. You will also find yourself being involved with establishing new work processes in Services as well as helping interpret and communicate data to our Service customers.
Laboratory technicians will assist you in the laboratory and you will be working with
project teams from all of R&D, Services, Manufacturing, and Sales & Marketing. A
dedicated bioinformatics team is associated with the NGS facility, but ideally you have a basic understanding of data processing and analysis.
Being part of a commercial organization, you will be responsible for communication of
data and figures required by Exiqon's Marketing department. We also expect you to
contribute to the invention and development of other market competitive Life Science
products.
We expect you to be a team player and have
- a Ph.D. with solid hands-on experience with a wide range of molecular biology
techniques (please indicate experience in the application)
- practical laboratory experience with NGS
- an understanding of NGS data analysis and perhaps even the ability to analyze
- an eye for details while keeping a clear focus on the goal
- the ability to stay structured while keeping track of multiple tasks
- ability to deliver to deadlines?
- excellent oral and written English skills
