Epidemiology is looking for a student assistant to support our department with scientific and administrative tasks. The job entails a broad range of tasks, e.g. assisting in literature search and data analysis, update the department website and statistics and preparation of slides.

About the department

The position will be anchored in Epidemiology, which is part of Global Development in Søborg, Denmark. This department consists of a team of 10 dedicated epidemiologists of various backgrounds and experience. In Epidemiology we are responsible for supporting key development projects and launched products by providing epidemiological expertise based on literature and data.



In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus in delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. The job

As a student assistant in Epidemiology you will assist the team of epidemiologists in analysing, validating, and communicating epidemiological knowledge. Moreover, you will assist the manager with minor administrative tasks.



You will be involved in various projects incl. non-interventional post-marketing studies, and preparation of epidemiological reports to stakeholders. The tasks will include validation of data in abstracts and proofreading of publications, and preparation and validation of presentations. In addition updating the department website and assisting in literature reviews and data analyses.



The working time is estimated to be 15 hours per week, but mutual flexibility is expected.



Qualifications

You are studying a relevant BSc/MSc programme related to epidemiology, and you have preferably 2 years until graduation. You have a strong interest and understanding of epidemiology and biostatistics, are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and are fluent in spoken and written English. Familiarity with SAS and PubMed is an asset.



You are dedicated, have excellent interpersonal skills, a good feeling for details, and have a positive mind-set.
