Schneider: Project Manager - Energy Management

The position
This position is accountable for supporting a mix of Edge & Medium scale high complexity customer project orders. This includes supporting project initiation, designing, planning, installation, commissioning of customer projects.
You will confirm customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions.
You will support the project team to manage complete job processes from order preparation, through manufacturing release, site installation, commissioning and start-up & customer handover utilizing a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use.
Key responsibilities / activities
• Support Technical and pre-sales prescription teams, compares/differentiates/propose alternate products with additional customer value compared to competition.
• Takes ownership for validating the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the customer, including both technical and commercial elements, becomes lead technical contact for customer & internal teams.
• Supports the project team with attendance of regular site meetings, lead technical communications to all parties, exchange of technical requirements with external 3rd parties. Customer interface within technical field of expertise.
• Support site installation teams with technical guidance during installation, commissioning project phases.
• Review drawing, specification compliance & makes recommendations to improve technical compliance & or reduce technical exposure.
• Support the development of project schedule & technical risk management plans.
• Lead direct engagement with the internal manufacturing facilities and Internal 3rd party vendors.
• Perform concept (& detailed) design supporting equipment interfacing (power, comms, cooling).
• Overall responsibility for the conformity of the delivered offer with the customer's specs and standards.
• Develop procedures for FAT, SAT, site Logistics aligned with external 3rd parties & customer requirements.
• Coordinate & schedule subcontractor & internal teams during site works activity
• Monitor and control the performance of the customer’s project through its lifecycle. Key activities include: Task completion verification, Project Status monitoring, Product/ technical issue resolution.
Education and Experience
• Strong working knowledge of UPS systems, IT racks, Aisle Containment & Datacentre architectures
• Excellent client-facing as well as internal teams communication skills
• Experience in multi activity projects (Electrical Distribution MV, LV, cooling, UPS)
• Minimum 5 years proven working experience in project execution
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree within field of study (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) (not essential)
• Experience in Data Centre Sector (not essential)
• Ability to collaborate in an international setting and fluency in English
