Lead value adding Materials Projects Overall, you will lead R&D projects related to sustainable materials development for the LEGO Group Materials Ambition towards 2030. You will collaborate with external R&D partners - chemical and resin suppliers, technology institutes, universities and tech start-ups - as well as cross-functionally within the LEGO Group to develop the materials. This includes: Building up knowledge of new and sustainable materials across the Engineering chain, identifying key technical levers for success towards implementing materials Plan and manage tests of materials for you own projects, evaluating data and reporting on results Ensuring relevant dialogue with external partners and internal stakeholders across Engineering & Quality and Production to provide the best solutions and reduce risk Contributing to maintaining technology roadmaps for the Materials Ambition for 2030 by investigating technology leads and opportunities Scouting and researching new materials and material sources Collaborating to find alternatives Because we are a family-owned company, we think long-term. Demonstrated technical project management experience In this specialist role, your technical knowledge will come into play, and to truly succeed, you are easily approachable and good at managing and maintaining an overview of your stakeholders. Understanding that bio-based materials are not a shelf item and that research and development in this field requires a team effort, you stay up-to-date on trends and enjoy working with external partners to find a solution. Moreover, you: Hold an education as Mechanical or Chemical Engineer, or as a Chemist (PhD, MSc, BSc) and have 3+ years of industry experience Have deep technical understanding of polymers and preferably experience with the use of polymers in injection moulding processes Have strong project management expertise, including planning & resource management, risk management and reporting on milestones and KPIs Practical experience within R&D project management Are fluent in oral and written English, and you are able to communicate with a scientific audience Bringing it to life "Here, you will have the opportunity to drive and take responsibility of projects and work closely with a team of experts, who are passionate about materials and creating the highest quality for the LEGO Play experience.
