Night Porter
We are currently looking for Day & Night Porters (Casual) to join the team at The Lodge at Ashford Castle and Night Porter to join the team at Ashford Castle.
Key responsibilities of the Day Porter will include:
• To deal with daily arrivals and departures in a friendly and efficient manner
• Assist guests with luggage and personal belongings
• Assist guests with enquiries and special requests
• Check function list for daily business, assist in meeting room set-ups and routine cleaning of public areas
• Be familiar with he Fire, Health and Safety and Security of the hotel guests and property during your shift
Key responsibilities of the Night Porter will include:
• To be responsible for the Fire, Health and Safety and Security of the hotel guests and property during your shift
• To deal with all late arrivals and early departures in a friendly and efficient manner
• To answer the switchboard and hotel telephone and direct the calls appropriately, deal with any queries that may arise
• Run necessary night audits, Room Set Ups, and other essential tasks assigned
• Routine cleaning of public areas
The ideal candidate for the Day and Night Porter position should:
• Have a friendly & outgoing personality
• Have a passion for guest care and hospitality
• Have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Have strong attention to detail
• Be flexible, innovative and adaptable
• Be legally eligible to work in Ireland
• Have the ability to handle busy situations and manage workload effectively
