The department of "Urban Water Management and Climate Adaption" have an increased demand for services within the design of rainwater and sewage systems, as well as climate change adaptation measures. Therefore, we are looking to hire a modelling expert with project management experience to help us solve the challenging and exciting projects we are working on.
The department is located in the Ramboll Head Office in Ørestad and is part of The Global Water Sector in Ramboll with more than 790 employees worldwide – of which approximately 200 are based in Denmark. We have a strong inter-company network and often work on tasks crossing professional competencies and functions. Furthermore, many projects are solved through joint cooperation between our offices in Denmark and abroad.
Your responsibilities as modelling expert
Regardless of your profile, you will be part of our strong professional team of modelling experts. The tasks that you will have the opportunity to participate in and manage include:
- Hydraulic calculations for some of the largest and most interesting hydraulic models in Denmark and abroad
- Flood calculations and analyses
- Climate change adaptation tasks and planning of storm water management in cities
- Wastewater, climate adaptation and cloudburst planning for both municipalities and utilities
- Modelling and design of LAR solutions
- Modelling and design of climate adaptation solutions above and below terrain in some of the largest Danish and foreign projects, also including road, railway, bridge and tunnel projects
- Participation in or project management of projects with many external and internal partners
- Preparation of project material
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations at internal or external events and may also contribute as an author.
You and your competencies
- You have a degree in engineering or equivalent.
- You have more than 5 years’ experience in most of the above mentioned areas.
- You are specialised within hydraulics and have solid experience with rainwater management and climate adaptation on all levels
- You have mastered MIKE Urban, MIKE FLOOD and MIKE 11
- You have experience as a project manager and can complete a project so that it is satisfactory to both client and project employees
- You have the ability and desire to work both independently and in collaboration with other dedicated colleagues.
- You have good written and oral communication skills in Danish and English
- You have strong GIS competencies
- You can prioritize your own tasks
- Supports and assists initiatives to strengthen and deepen client relationships
- Offers ideas on strategic approaches to client projects
