Wärtsilä Shared Service Center (WSSC) supports the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting or other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WSSC is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective and efficient processes. WSSC is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous development and operational excellence.



We are looking for one Expert to join our virtual network of purchasers at WSSC purchasing team. The job concentrates on Europe area purchasing as well as global cooperation and development within operative purchasing. Position is temporary (11 months).



Location: Finland



Responsibilities

  • Participate in improving WSSC virtual purchasing team/concept, including operative indirect and direct purchasing with global scope
  • Ensuring process performance, harmonisation and continuous development and improvement within operative purchasing process and tools, and related end-to-end processes
  • Ensuring compliance with country, company and process specific legislation, and Wärtsilä Corporation guidelines and requirements- Participating in global development projects as Expert and/or Project manager, coordinating development, building and testing system, supporting colleagues and other stakeholders globally
  • Sharing with Process manager the process steering, having expert knowledge of the tool and process within own area of responsibility
  • Acting as the back-up for Process manager according to agreed scope- Identifying, evaluating and implementing process and tool automation to reach world class performance in operative purchasing process (RPA, AI, Analytics)
  • Arranging process related training globally to successfully implement the global Wärtsilä way of working in the process. Preparing training material and working instructions. - Monitoring and maintaining high quality operative purchasing in WSSC purchasing services scope

     

Requirements

  • Education: Commercial/Technical (e.g. Bachelor/Master of Business Administration, or a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management)
  • SAP knowledge
  • Operative purchasing skills
  • Systematic and organized way of working
  • Interest in process optimization
  • Open-minded and agile personality
  • Flexibility and good team working skills
  • Positive attitude and pro-active thinking
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience of similar tasks and shared services operations is an advantage
  • Advanced English skills, other languages are considered an advantage
