We are looking for licensed dentist to our general dentistry clinic in Kalmar county. As a general dentist you will be working within all odontological fields and with patients in all ages. Our ambition is to perform as advanced treatment as possible at the general dentistry clinic. In order to accomplish this, we value a continuous development of our dentists by cooperating with our specialist dental care units. Depending on the clinics needs and your competence and interest, there may be possibilities to niche your dental practice.
All new coworkers will complete an introduction year to provide you an insight to our organisation and to connect with colleaugues. As newly licensed dentist we will provide a coaching mentor who will also work at clinic. That initiation program will be costumized by you, the clinic and the mentor together.
Kalmar County
Kalmar County lies in the south east of Sweden, nicely overlooking the Baltic Sea, which means you are working and living in beautiful nature surroundings. It’s a very popular summer destination with our own archipelago in the northern county and the popular island Öland with many beaches and idyllic places to visit in the south county. The ferry from Oskarshamn will take you to the neighbouring island of Gotland with similarities to Öland.
Many Europeans have already made their permanent move to Kalmar county and are now working and living here. Kalmar airport connects you to 2 airports in Stockholm (city airport of Bromma and international airport Arlanda) to all kind of destinations in the world. If you prefer to take the train you can travel other cities in Sweden as well as Copenhagen airport and the city of Copenhagen. Located 1 hour from Kalmar you also find Småland airport which has direct flights to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf.
The general dentistry organization (Folktandvården) is a part of Region Kalmar.
Region Kalmar is the main health care provider in Kalmar county with approximately 7300 employees. There are 18 public dental clinics, as well as 3 hospitals and 28 primary care centers are provided for the general population. The organization is also responsible for regional and cultural development, public transportation and education amongst other things.
Terms of employment
Before moving to Sweden you need to reach B2 level in the Swedish language. Your license as a dentist needs to be recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/.
We provide further language studies in Swedish to reach the C1 level. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Kalmar, it will automatically turn into a permanent position.
All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary are set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
