The Opportunity

  • You will be working in the tire plant in Colmar-Berg.
  • You will have the opportunity to drive plant activities in improving process capability and associated "high yield process" (no defect passed forward) approach in the Compound Mixing & Preparation Area.
  • Main focus on Material design and process optimization programs, new and second source raw material implementations.
  • Liaise with the Regional Quality department- and Regional Purchasing team in case of any material shortages or quality constraints.
  • Back-up function on compound mixing and extrusion process.

To join our team you will need:

Education:

  • Masters degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer/material science

Languages:

  • Excellent level of English and French (spoken and written).
  • A good level of Luxembourgish or German are assets.

Driving licence:

  • Category B

Experience:

  • Work experience in a laboratory and/or in quality control/process capability.
  • Work experience in related industrial scale manufacturing field will be an advantage.

IT, Soft Skills & others:

  • Excellent computer skills in MS office (Excel).
  • Knowledge of SAP spec. systems would be an asset.
  • Self motivated person.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Be willing to work on week-ends (stand-by operation) at least once/month.
