Community Employment Supervisor
Mayo Abbey Parish Community Development Company are recruiting a CE Scheme Supervisor. The core aspect of the role is to support and coach CE Participants towards gaining the skills and competencies in preparation for employment and to ensure the effective and efficient administration and coordination of the resources of the CE Scheme. This is a full-time position funded through the Dept. of Social Protection. Pay and contract will be in line with DSP guidelines. DUTIES OF THE CE SUPERVISOR INCLUDE: Supervise the operation of the CE Scheme Maintain accurate and up to date records, generating timely reports as required Ensure timely completion and submission of all administration and financial returns Ensure the CE scheme is compliant with all of DSP monitoring requirements Ensure that Training and Materials spending remains within budget Co-ordinate the recruitment of CE applicants per DSP guidelines Manage the CE Scheme on a day-to-day basis to include planning and coordinating work schedules for participants Ensure the health, safety and well-being of participants Carry out an Identification of Learner Needs process with each participant on the project Manage all disciplinary matters in relation to participants Liaise with Community/Business partners to source work experience Ensure payment of allowances and submission of claims to DEASP office Working alongside the Dept. of Social Protection, CE Participants, committee members and staff of MAPCDC Maintain the ethos and values of the sponsor at all times
Essential:
Minimum 3 years Supervisory and people management experience relevant to the post
Previous experience in Administration, Project Management, Training and Payroll
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, with a high level of keyboard and computerised office skills
A solid understanding of the role of the C. E. Supervisor
Excellent interpersonal and communication and skills
Experience of project management including administration and budget management
Good working knowledge of GDPR
Desirable:
Relevant Third Level Major Award at Level 6 or higher
Proven organisational and time management skills to meet objectives within agreed timeframes
Good personal motivation and the drive to promote and deliver the ethos of Community Employment.
Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and job-seekers
Capable of directing, motivating, coaching and mentoring CE participants
Competent report writing skills
Ability to work under the direction of the Sponsoring Organisation for the effective implementation of the CE programme in line with the CE Operational Procedures
