Cork's oldest hotel is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team preparing dishes using locally sourced ingredients to serve in our beautiful restaurants/bars, Sketch, Lafayettes and Thyme. The ideal candidate will:
- Be knowledgeable on what is happening on your shift, know what reservations are booked in to the outlets.
- Know what the menu of the day is and if there are any specials, what they are and know the ingredients.
- Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order, report any maintenance issues to your team leader.
- Avoid unnecessary wastage, observe proper portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner.
- Ensure excellent food hygiene practices are observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service.
- Be fully familiar with all menus - breakfast, lunch, table d’hote and a la carte.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €14.00 per hour
