Then you may be our new Category Manager for moulding of plastic components for our devices.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Devices & Needles is one of the departments in Strategic Sourcing and we are managing the sourcing activities related to securing access to supply for the production of more than 500 million devices per year for the global market.
We have a dedicated focus on employee development through coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving a challenging responsibility to individuals.
The position
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for securing supply availability within moulded plastic components for our devices in Novo Nordisk. The direction will be based on the category strategy you develop and own, taking both short and long term challenges and opportunities into account.
The job requires that you are on top of the global market trends and dynamics within devices and ensure timely responses to both sourcing risks and opportunities. Your success depends on your ability to bridge between the needs of the organisation and the best supply solution for Novo Nordisk.
This position will offer you a unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with key stakeholders from various parts of the organisation needing our advice.
As our suppliers are placed both in Europe, USA and South America, you should expect travel activities of up to 30-40 days per year.
Qualifications
You hold a degree as M.Sc. or MBA in Supply Chain Management, business or engineering. You have minimum 5 years of experience from working with strategic sourcing – preferably at a large international company and a corresponding proven track record. You have experience from making long-term strategies that set the direction and guidance for how to act and prioritise in the daily work. Additionally, you are familiar with developing sourcing strategies, you are an experienced negotiator and you hold strong analytical skills and solid understanding of numbers. A good understanding of moulding and devices is an advantage.
As a person, you are confident with navigating in complex and dynamic organizations and are able to impact decision-making through clear recommendations based on solid analysis. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. The job requires you to create a broad range of contacts in Novo Nordisk as well as with suppliers worldwide. You must therefore have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a ‘can-do attitude’ and a healthy sense of humour to your work – also when the pressure is on. Lastly, you are fluent in both oral and written English.
