The Jakobstad region has a strong global export market, 50 000 inhabitants, over 6 800 companies and more than 22 000 workplaces in a diversified field of enterprises. We've got both urban and rural living and have never more than half-an-hour commuting-distances and the nature and archipelago always nearby. Quality of life in a nutshell! We are a bilingual part of Finland, where inhabitants speak both Swedish and Finnish, and thanks to our export companies a lot of other languages is spoken here, too.
