The opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced professional to join Pricing Team in the Consumer Business.
He / She will work on advanced analytics and projects by cooperating cross-functionally as well as interacting with external agencies, being responsible for price setting, design, implementation, control of pricing strategy as well as numerous periodical reports preparation for senior management.
Top four functional tasks include:
- Internal and external analytics - assembling data from multiple sources, analyzing (incl. simulations and statistical analyses), drawing conclusions, building reports, recommending actions to advance in pricing to maximize company performance
- Price setting, price changes and price approvals
- Campaign management - designing, together with other functions, international campaigns based on defined targets. Tracking success of each campaign
- Cooperation with external agencies
The Pricing Analyst will be accountable for:
- Establishing a high-quality business intelligence framework on pricing in cooperation with hub / country pricing teams and external agencies, providing support to the decision making process;
- Contributing with strong analytical input and recommendations to establish a winning pricing strategy definition and optimal price setting for all consumer brands;
- Managing several key pricing processes; measuring performance;
- Performing prompt & thorough price approval process (country price lists, country seasonal price move, tactical approvals, etc);
- Recommending and driving implementation of improvements;
- Providing pricing inputs to several cross functional processes (e.g. New Product Development);
- Analyzing pricing performance and suggesting corrective actions, leading execution;
- Developing, maintaining and improving pricing policies, rules, practices, systems and tools to ensure competitive advantage across industry;
- Providing support to Sales and Marketing teams, meeting their reporting and analytical needs;
- Maintaining strong product, brand and marketing knowledge to support pricing management.
Organizational interdependencies and cross-functional interactions:
- Product Marketing: price setting for new product introduction (PCP), analytics about price performance for various product lines, participation in any project related.
- Sales Operations: price discipline, campaigns, targets & product/volume alignment.
- Market Research and Intelligence: source of data required for everyday work (e.g. Europool, GFK, brand KPIs).
- Brand Marketing: brand price positioning, participation in all relevant projects.
- Supply Chain / Operations: campaign targets & implementation, volume plans & capacity situation, master data;
- External agencies: pricing research cooperation, tools;
- Finance and controlling: assumptions alignment, source of financial information and customer of pricing information;
- Data Science: joint projects and
- IT: systems and tools
To join our team you will need:
Education:
- The candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or any related field (Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, etc).
Experience:
- Min. 5 years of professional experience. 7+ years is preferred
Languages:
- Fluent in English. Any other language is an asset (particularly German or French)
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical skills, preferably incl. simulation and statistical techniques (black belt certification welcomed);
- Experience to prioritize and deliver in dynamic working environment (ability to work on multiple projects, under time pressure);
- Be pragmatic, well organized and structured;
- Be comfortable working with large data sets;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced Excel Macros, VBA);
- High accuracy and attention to detail;
- Solid knowledge of SAP and EDW systems; Knowledge of pricing systems (e.g. Vendavo/PriMa) as well as experience working with Europool, GFK, Lizeo, T24 data, considered as asset;
- Good understanding of P&L components and influence on financial results;
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact and influence at various seniority levels; Effectiveness working cross-functionally:
- Hands-on mentality; Solution oriented;
- Affinity to automotive industry (considered as advantage)
