Biogen is looking for an experienced Scientist for the Manufacturing Sciences, Purification Department in Hillerød. The Manufacturing Scientist will provide scientific leadership to support clinical and commercial processes in the area of protein purification operations, such as lead technology transfer teams, investigation teams, identify opportunities to improve systems and practices, and provide direction to technical development teams.
The department currently consists of 8 highly motivated and scientifically very skilled persons. We have our own well equipped lab facilities to support process transfer activities and investigations. We are as a group focused on team-work and a mindset of collaboration and mutual respect is essential.
Your main responsibilities
• Lead or support technology transfers teams
• Provide technical risk assessments for new manufacturing processes.
• Develop project plans, timelines and communication forums to ensure a smooth transfer.
• Lead technical investigation teams and ensure timely completion and communications.
• Provide interpretation of manufacturing data, analyze laboratory or manufacturing data
• Set up analysis of manufacturing process performance and reporting to manufacturing management
• Support of Manufacturing including review of procedures, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD ) and analyses of In Process Controls ( IPC )
• Coordinate, plan and support manufacturing process validation runs
• Oversee maintenance of lab functionalities in order to ensure MS lab readiness
• Training of manufacturing staff and members of the Manufacturing Sciences group
Qualifications
Professional qualifications You have a strong and broad background in protein purification and biologics manufacturing as well as the capability of being able to absorb and utilize new knowledge quickly. You have experience with technology transfers, root cause investigations and data analysis. You have solid knowledge of GMP and good English skills. Personal Qualifications You have strong analytical and organizational skills. You are proactive, flexible and willing to take responsibility. You are able to prioritize job tasks and perform them in a timely manner.
Education
