We Offer
The BI Competency Center is looking for a strong BI Consultant that can take an active role in developing the next generation of Maersk Drilling’s global BI and Analytics platform.
Reporting to the head of the BICC, you will be part of a team that plays a key role in a number of strategic initiatives that will transform the way we operate. We are continuously expanding our horizons and looking at how to create value to our customers and internally through application of BI and Advanced Analytics technologies.
You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with all aspects of our business. You will be working with backend functions such as Finance and HR, but also with core operational processes. This will give a unique insight into the exciting world of offshore drilling.
You will be involved in the entire project life cycle, from idea inception to delivery and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will be to:
•Deliver new BI solutions within the Maersk Drilling BI environment
•Collect and document business requirements from key stakeholders
•Actively engage and challenge key stakeholders in the design of BI solutions such as reports and dashboards to ensure the most effective visualizations are delivered
•Design BI solutions or review solution designs from external BI vendor(s)
•Independently develop and implement new BI solutions, utilizing the full technology stack of the Maersk Drilling BI environment – presently Microsoft Business SQL Server
•Assist external BI vendor(s) during the development, testing and implementation of new BI solutions
•Support functional BI teams by training functional super users/analysts in selected BI tools
•Assist functional super users/analysts with data collection and extraction for functional analytical purposes
•Support of existing BI solutions
Who we are looking for
•You have a relevant academic background, e.g. MSc in Business Administration, Computer Science or similar, or higher degree in engineering or IT equivalent
•You have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a BI consultant or developer role, with hands on experience developing Data Warehouse and BI solutions in an enterprise setting – preferably within Micorsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft BI Technology Stack, incl. SSDB, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
•Hands on experience with Microsoft PowerView, PowerBI or similar visualization/data discovery tools (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Microstrategy, etc.) is a plus
•You can work independently and thrive in a fast paced environment
•You have strong analytical skills
•You are a good communicator and able to interact with stakeholders at different levels across an organization
•You possess excellent skills in visualization of data, design of reports, dashboards, etc.
•Proficiency in English is a prerequisite
