Automation Engineer

We have just expanded our production facility and have a number of new interesting projects in the pipeline. We are therefore seeking new colleagues in the Automation Engineering department.
In the job you will provide automation support to on-going manufacturing operations. You will work with manufacturing personnel and process engineers to diagnose and troubleshoot process failures, equipment problems, software operations and ensure the facility can consistently supply product.
You will implement control system changes as required by process improvements for current products or process changes required for future products. This can include making and testing the changes yourself or developing a scope of work to be used to hire outside contractors then managing those contractors to complete the work per schedule and budget.
You will participate in one or more of our ongoing projects to improve or expand the facility.
You will
- Be member of a highly skilled and dynamic automation team in Hillerød
- Be working with colleagues from Biogen sites in Denmark, Switzerland and USA to implement best practices for all aspects of change control, system administration and software development.
- Be working with Global Engineering to implement new capital projects.
- Be working with Quality and Validation to ensure control system compliance to all applicable EU and International regulations.
- Be working with Manufacturing Sciences and Manufacturing Engineer to bring new products, process and advanced technologies into the facility.
Qualifications
- You have flair for computer systems.
- You might know class based programming and have experience programming in a DCS environment (DeltaV).
- You are eager to learn. - You like to work in teams.
- You are self-driven and can manage and take action on the tasks assigned to you.
- You have excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- You have familiarity with or interest in learning about biotech and/or pharmaceutical production like upstream and downstream processes.
Education
