Job ID: 212869 Location: Vejle DK Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: full time For our Offshore Transport and Logistics department, we are looking for a strong Sea Transport Specialist, who wants to be part of an energetic team in a professional organization where no day is the same. The department works as an internal supplier to our Project Execution departments. Your stakeholders in this position will be external and internal. The Sea Transport Specialist will be a support for our Project Logistic Operator colleagues in meetings and workshops, and work closely with our procurement department. What are my responsibilities? The Sea transport specialist is expected to carry out detailed planning activities and coordinate and communicate with internal material & equipment suppliers in regards to sea transport of main components (nacelles, blades etc.). You will be responsible for the planning and execution of sea transportation of turbine main components from various production facilities to offshore project pre-assembly sites. Your responsibilities and duties will also include: Financial forecasting, monitoring and reporting responsibility in regards to sea transport Ensuring cost and performance by continuous improvement Coordinating and communicating with internal material & equipment suppliers in regards to sea transport Verifying transport routes within ports Calculating transport budget Initiating and participating in sea transport tenders Defining transport equipment for sea transport On site supervision Availability during evenings / weekends but limited You should expect up to 20 days of travelling per year. What do I need to qualify for this job? Multimodal transportation experience Heavy cargo transportation experience Experience in Project Business from a large or mid-size Freight Forwarder/Haulier Strong communication skills and excellent English skills both orally and in writing Strong planning skills and can keep the full overview Proactive, outgoing and structured Project Management experience from a logistics environment. As a person you have a responsible approach to your work and an analytical approach to your tasks. You are structured and result-orientated; you are able to carry out your tasks even in a sometime hectic and dynamic environment. It is important for this role that you have an outgoing personality, as you will have a broad interface to both internal and external stakeholders.
