Global Process Owner, PLM

We are now looking for a Global Process Owner, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) to join our Enterprise Architecture team working for a better future.

The position is permanent and preferred location for the position is in Finland. Our offices are located in Helsinki, Vaasa and Turku.



What you will be doing and what we expect from you



In this position, your work will include coordination of PLM business activities across Wärtsilä and ownership of the consolidated PLM roadmap. On a typical day, you might be starting with monitoring of PLM process performance and end the day with discussion about next PLM development steps with business VP’s. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from both management and expert levels. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have excellent understanding of Product Lifecycle Management and experience from complex international business environment. As an ideal candidate, you have over 10 years of experience in managing PLM & PLM Processes in multicultural environment and have a M.Sc. University Degree. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have excellent collaboration, presentation, and people skills.



As PLM Global Process Owner, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Establish Global PLM Process Vision as per Wärtsilä Strategy
• Ensure that global process vision is aligned with Wärtsilä PLM Architecture
• Educate business stakeholders to understand the benefits of PLM & PLM Architecture
• Identify Opportunities for PLM process improvement & prioritize PLM Development activities.
• Collaborate with process stakeholders and peers to ensure efficient process operations
• Establish & Monitor PLM process performance
• Own business data definitions and standards for PLM processes
• Communicate with and inform relevant stakeholders concerning changes
• Collaborate & align with Enterprise platform teams (e.g. Teamcenter) for developments as per PLM process decisions & Development activities.
  
   

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Proven track record in being Process owner in PLM or Engineering area.
• Forward thinking leader who makes things happen
• Excellent problem solving and relationship building skills
• Wärtsilä Business knowledge is a great advantage
• Proactive, systematic, development-minded, and goal-focused attitude
• Able to translate complex engineering matters for easy communication
• Fluent written and spoken English
  
   

In this role, some travel might be required to meet with stakeholders around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 1-2 days in a month, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
