Head of Commercial Support in Research, Innovation & Supply, Bagsværd
As Head of Commercial Support you will be overall responsible for driving Commercial and Innovation Excellence for Novozymes Globally. The unit consists of 6 distinct teams with a total of +50 employees located in Denmark and abroad.
Commercial Support is an integral part of securing a strong link between Research, Innovation & Supply and Novozymes’ sales divisions. We deploy best practices, tools, processes and capabilities for how we develop and bring products to market.
Key activities includes new product development, project execution development, the roll-out of best practices in innovation management, sales and marketing, as well as planning and optimization of resources and innovation metrics.
You will be setting the direction and leading the team with a high ambition level in four areas:
- Shape the commercial and innovation excellence agenda for Novozymes globally; Bring in external best practices and define what good looks like in Sales, Innovation and Marketing. Identify focus areas and scope projects/programs to lift performance
- Ensure impact of Commercial Support investments. Work with senior leaders in the divisions to ensure project follow-through. Focus the commercial support organization on high-impact areas
- Manage stakeholders at executive and vice president level. Ensure buy-in for change and build commitment for targets/results. Collect feedback and engage on defining projects
- Lead and develop the team. Engage direct leadership team in forming a common agenda. Secure alignment and progress across the Commercial Support leadership team. Develop the team and ensure competency level and skill profiles
In this position you need to have:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience related to Consulting, Sales, Marketing or Innovation
- Leadership experience and strong people management skills preferably from international teams. Strong team orientation and focus on employee empowerment
- Sound strategic and analytical skills and business understanding, preferably with experience within areas such as Strategy, Management Consulting, Market & Business Intelligence, Business Development or Finance
- Industry experience in Biotechnology, Chemicals, Ingredients, Fast-moving consumer goods or similar is beneficial. Alternatively, experience in complex B2B industries
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or MSc degree in Engineering/Science or similar
