The job
As a Field Service Engineer/Robot Specialist you will be responsible for installation and technical services of robots together with our distributors, including training of distributors technical staff. You will also be responsible for remote and on-site customer support in close cooperation with our engineering and product development teams.
Your main tasks will be installation, service and technical support to direct customers and distributors, herein under:

Providing supervision and support to installations, either done directly by Blue Ocean Robotics or by distributors.

Installations, maintenance, repairs and other on-site technical services too at customer locations i.e. hospitals, pharma, offices, exhibition centers, schools and various other healthcare and non-healthcare environments.

Telephone, e-mail and chat support to users, customers and distributors

Temporary robot installations at exhibitions, events and demonstrations

Creation and communication of best practice descriptions, maintenance manuals, guides and other user-facing documentation.

Facilitation of training to distributors engineering and service teams both on-site and at HQ.

Delivering technical feed-back from robot installations to our product development team

Travelling is part of the job. Willingness to travel extensively up till 80% (4-5 days per week sometimes including overnight and some weekends) within the region with different modes of transportation (car, train, air-travel, etc.)
It will be preferable that you are based in either the South, North East, West or Central USA, Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Romania, Greece,Hungary, Spain, Italy, UK or UAE.
Your Competencies
You have experience in service and support of technical products, preferably from healthcare and life science markets. Further skills required:

Educational background at Bachelor/Diploma level in computer science, electronics, mechatronics, software or equivalent.

Skilled in using Linux operating systems.

Good at communicating with customers, users and technical staff.

Excellent English skills.

Analytical approach and good at problem solving.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Self motivated, structured and productive with a good overview.
