Are you the new chromatographic specialist we are looking for?

Our Oral Protein Formulation Unit (OPF) is expanding therefore we are looking for several dedicated, professional and enthusiastic new colleagues. We are on a voyage towards the development and production of oral formulations of proteins. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of insulin and GLP-1. The Oral Analytical Development department within OPF is looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to strengthen our competence within chromatographic method development.

About the department

The department consist of 3 teams (Development, Support and Quality/Control) who are responsible for development and validation of analytical methods, stability testing, support activities for formulation development and release of oral protein products for preclinical and clinical trials. This specialist position will be part of the Development team together with 21 colleagues (team leader, specialists, scientists and laboratory technicians). Besides development and validation of methods the development team is also responsible for solid state characterisation.

The job

You will be responsible for setting the direction for analytical development and validation of chromatographic methods. You will have an active role in development of our chromatographic separation toolbox. Your everyday responsibilities will involve both hands-on experimental project work as well as more strategically oriented tasks related to maintaining and developing our technology platform and methods portfolio. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues from Global Research which are responsible for early development of the analytical methods. You contribute actively to ensure documentation of the analytical work to the right quality level and maintain the quality system in the team.

Qualifications

You hold an MSc or PhD in Pharmacy or Engineering or a related field within analytical development .You have a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry (minimum of 10 years). You have an excellent track record of original research and extensive experience in chromatographic separation of proteins and peptides. You have experience in Quality by Design and chromatographic modelling. You are dynamic and innovative with good interpersonal and communication skills.
