VMware / Windows System Administrator

For our department System Administration within LuxairGroup, we are looking for a (an):

VMware / Windows System Administrator (m/f)

Main duties:

• Design, install, configure and maintain the VMware and server infrastructure, including storage and backup management;
• Design, install, configure and maintain the centralized enterprise IT applications, such as, but not limited to, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) as well as the company end user hardware and software solutions;
• Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems;
• Develop and implement plans to secure end user and server infrastructures against accidental or unauthorized intrusion, modification or destruction;
• Ensure the availability, integrity, security and good performance of the infrastructure;
• Perform incidents resolution and follow-up, problems identification and analysis as well as day-to-day infrastructure operations
• Participate in continuous improvement of the overall production environment and write appropriate guidelines where required
• Keep a high level of technical awareness within the assigned area of responsibility
• Participate to IT S&S related projects and occasionally provide an administrative support in the scope of the activity

Required profile:

Minimum required criteria:

• Be holder of a bachelor degree “BAC& 3” in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position
• Demonstrate knowledge of current VMware and Windows Server infrastructure
• Have a proven experience in managing a Storage Area Network (SAN).
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cluster environments.
• Have good knowledge of system virtualization
• Provide knowledge in Backup and Recovery
• Demonstrate skills in Business Continuity Planning
• Demonstrate scripting expertise’s
• Show strong communication and adaptation skills
• Accept to be part of the IT S&S On-Duty Team
• Accept Duty Travel
• Be familiar with standard office applications
• Show good communication skills in English as well as skills in French or German (spoken and written)

Desired or to be acquired criteria:

• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
• Have knowledge of:
• VMware vSphere
• Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SharePoint;
• CA and Radius infrastructures
• Antivirus infrastructures
• PowerShell and/or VisualBasic
• Show skills in installations and maintenance of DMZ environments
• Be accurate, detail oriented and reliable
• Be able to work team-oriented and independently
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Show a strong ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside the company
• Show user skills in the tools used in the department
• Demonstrate a good sense of urgency and flexibility
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of the data

The ideal candidate:

• Knowledge of Luxemburgish or any other language is considered as asset
