Two robot developers to design the flexible mobile robots and drones of the future
Teknologisk Institut
Høje-Taastrup, 2 stillinger
The Danish Technological Institute’s Center for Robotics Technology in Odense is seeking two developers to strengthen its service-robot development programme with particular focus in the field of drones and mobile robots. The Center develops, optimises and deploys innovative robotic solutions with the overall objective of translating our technical expertise within the field of robotics into specific business applications for our customers. To this end, we are seeking to expand our team with the addition of two developers capable of driving new activities and who can contribute as both project managers and technical developers.
Development and implementation of service robots
The service-robot sector is currently experiencing rapid growth, and with more new flexible mobile robots, drones and integration technology entering the market, new opportunities are opening up for innovative robotic solutions in a wealth of new areas.
As our new colleague, your work will centre on creating and influencing the robot solutions of the future, and you will be involved in close dialogue with many interesting partners and customers. The position calls for a developer who is capable of translating his/her ideas and thoughts into projects that we can develop further at the Center.
Because we are seeking two new colleagues, the possibility of combining work tasks exists, but all assignments will cover the following:
•Creating new and innovative projects in collaboration with Danish and international companies and partners
•Project management and technical development in R&D projects
•Developing demonstrations, prototypes and customer solutions within the field of service robots – from conception to implementation
•Implementing solutions within the customer’s business
•Communication, application and transfer of the gained expertise and knowledge to the customer
•Establishing and developing networks for national and international research and innovation partners by means of participation in projects, conferences and trade fairs
•Ensuring close dialogue with our customers and partners
•Guaranteeing that development projects are translated into practicable market solutions
Engineer with a keen interest in robot technology
We welcome all applications from qualified engineers (particularly those with a PhD qualification in the field) who have an interest in robot technology and who have a solid knowledge of and interest in some of the following areas:
•Mobile robots
•Drones
•Software development – knowledge of ROS, Python and C++ would be an advantage
•System design – from concept to implementation
•AI, sensor and interaction technologies
The successful applicants will join a highly innovative environment working at the cutting edge of technological development; consequently, we expect you to take personal initiative in exploring new business opportunities. As well working with the team, you should also be capable of working independently in order to meet your project goals. On a personal level, you should be an outgoing and proactive individual who is motivated by creating ideas and realising them as a project, from where they can be further developed into ground-breaking market applications.
