Due to reorganisation we currently have 3 open team leader positions in the Safety Operations Case Management department.
About the department
Safety Operation Case Management department consists of 40 highly motivated employees, organised in 3 teams. Our main responsibilities are performing data entry and evaluation of serious adverse events reports from various clinical trials and marketed products, training activities, maintenance and development of various standard operations procedures and involvement in continuous improvement projects. We work in a fast-paced environment reflecting the increasing demands from numerous clinical trials and regulatory authority pharmacovigilance requirements. We do so in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including colleagues from Novo Nordisk safety departments in India and US, global development, customer complaint center and Safety Surveillance.
The department is situated in Safety Operations, one of the functional areas in Global Safety. Global Safety is responsible for the global handling and reporting of adverse events to authorities, and the surveillance of the safety and quality of Novo Nordisk clinical development and marketed products.
The Job
You will lead, coach and develop 12 highly dedicated and competent clinical safety associates. You will have the responsibility for the performance of the team, and for ensuring the correct prioritization between the team’s different tasks. Your role will be to motivate, support and challenge your employees on a daily basis to ensure high engagement and productivity. Building competencies and ensuring the optimisation of work-flows will also be an integral part of the job. Working in a global organisation, you are expected to show a high degree of initiative in seeking interaction with colleagues internally as well as externally in order to secure collaboration and alignment cross-organisationally.
With your quality mind-set, you set direction for the team ensuring that it is supporting the requirements from the projects and authorities.
You will report to the department director and will be a member of the management team in the Case Management department. You play an active role in setting direction for the team and in contributing in relation to cross team initiatives, alignment and projects. You are willing to share and collaborate, and you take pride in supporting your colleagues in achieving joint targets.
Qualifications
You have a Bachelor, Master degree or equivalent, preferably within biomedical sciences or related discipline and experience in pharmacovigilance. Further experience in project management, clinical trials management or people management would be an advantage.
Personally, you have the ability to work independently with decisiveness and good analytical skills. You have a sense of initiative combined with empathy and the ability to support and engage your employees. You have a positive mind-set and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
You have a flair for IT systems and are highly skilled in MS office. You are a team player with an open-mind, with cultural awareness and excellent communication skills and comfortable using your fluent written and spoken English on a daily basis.
