WGLS deliver 1,1 B€ sales value all over the world, we deliver around 90K different materials a year we buy from more than 1000 different supplier, we need to ensure to compliance of our import and export processes by being able to collect relevant data from our suppliers timely and with needed accuracy.



WGLS - Parts supply - Materials Management function is now looking for a Team leader, Material management, to lead the supply chain compliance aspects such as Customs data, IHM, RoHS and Reach with the goal to mitigate the risks associated to non-compliant suppliers, obtain critical compliance information about our supply chain for Wartsila’s own compliance obligations and assist our customers to meet their compliance requirements.



The position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidate will be located in Italy, Finland or Netherlands.



What you will be doing?



As a Team leader, Material management, Supply chain compliance you will be accountable for:

  • Establishment and monitoring of a compliance management system that enables monitoring and measuring effectiveness in collecting, validating and maintaining relevant data
  • Establishment and constant development of a process for collecting and maintaining compliance information such as customs data (Country of origin, commodity codes), RoHS and REACh
  • Aligning the way of working with other stakeholders to ensure collections methods and performances are in line with customers and authorities’ expectations.

     

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop the Custom data expert team
  • Coordinate with the Operation support function to ensure advanced and reliable way of working and tools
  • Coordinate with Global customs compliance team to make sure data availability and quality meet customers and authorities’ requirements
  • Coordinate with Supply Management to implement and develop the collections operations including the escalation process
  • Optimize cost centre according to automation opportunities
  • Develop the material management function together with other team leaders
  • Impact the purchasing and planning operations to optimize the customs duties and minimize the customs operation times (Wärtsilä and customers)
  • Environment and safety data collection.

     

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Bachelor of Economy/Business Administration degree or similar
  • 3-5 years of supply management experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in lead / coordination role
  • OE experience
