Are you interested in Clinical Research and Supply Chain Management? If Yes then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

About the department

Clinical Supplies is a part of thme Novo Nordisk Research & Development organisation. We are responsible for the planning, production, packaging, labelling and distribution of products for Novo Nordisk clinical trials worldwide. We make sure that the required medication is provided to the patients participating in our clinical trials. Our department, Clinical Supplies Project Planning (CSPP) consists of 3 teams; Project Entry, Supply Strategy and IWRS (IT).

The job

We are a dedicated team in Clinical Supplies responsible for Supply Strategies. This includes taking responsibility in the early phases of designing the supply chain for clinical trials, forecast of demand for trial products and preparation of strategies for packaging and distribution. Through simulation and optimization we ensure our automated trial supply management system (IWRS) is setup to handle every clinical trial in an optimal manor. Once the Supply Strategy is developed we have to ensure a robust handover for execution in our supply chain, this will also be part of your responsibility.

Together with experienced colleagues you will be involved in developing processes and procedures in our team that will enable us to work smarter and/or faster. The position requires that you are able to work with complex supply chain management in a context where service level and waste reduction are high on the agenda. The working environment is informal with a high degree of responsibilities delegated to team members.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree within the fields of Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar. Either you are a highly talented recent graduate or you have relevant experience, perhaps even from the pharmaceutical industry.

You are a high performer and have a proven track record. You have a strong analytical mind-set - both in terms of data and processes. You communicate effectively, meet deadlines and approach tasks in a structured way. You are a dedicated team player who inspires trust amongst colleagues and partners. You have a positive attitude to challenges and see continuous improvement as a natural part of your job.

You have excellent computer skills and working with Excel and PowerPoint is a natural part of your work day. Experience with VBA programming is valued but not a prerequisite. You are fluent in written and spoken English.

At Novo Nordisk we create value by putting patients first. Every ten seconds two people are diagnosed with diabetes and close to 366 million people worldwide need us. Working here is not just a way to make a living but a way to make a difference.
