Senior Engineer or Architect to do Factory Design
In the LEGO Group, we are experiencing rapid growth and invest heavily in new factories. You will join a great creative and global team to set the standards for our factory design concept - and how we should go about building amazing, sustainable factories across the globe. Align our construction standards In this new position, you drive the design standard on how we build and improve our factories in the Corporate Facility Global Project Management team. Thus, you ensure alignment in terms of construction standards, stakeholder needs and the implementation of the LEGO® Planet Promise initiative for a sustainable future. As such, you become the go-to-person, who coordinates with local designers, constructors and a number of internal specialists to make sure every construction match expectations. More specifically, you: Own our factory footprint masterplan as the go-to-person for new designs and building standards as well as insurance, corporate responsibility, security and stakeholder requirements Design our factory concept, matching it to our Planet Promise (energy guidelines) as well as building and risk management guidelines and standards Take an active part in the design phase for new constructions, supporting PM’s and stakeholders to challenge requirements and implement our design guidelines Stay up-to-date on our processes and standards within architecture, engineering and construction, and stay informed on changes to space assignments and stakeholder requirements Create a standard timeline, E2E, for the design phase of new construction projects and make sure to keep projects, phases and pipelines aligned Enact our Planet Promise In this role, you will travel up to 60 days a year to get familiar with our manufacturing sites and participate in the design process in construction start-ups. Doing so, we will trust you to get things done to the highest possible quality, as our factories should be best in class. You will get to apply your ability to think creatively, identifying new ways of working and making overall improvements to our factory constructions. And you will show you care, by focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability. Experience with complex construction projects and designing standards You succeed through due diligence and an eye for details, both of which enable you to set a standard across cultures and local customs. Also, you are able to perform excellent stakeholder management, as you will be collaborating with many different people both internally and externally. Your qualifications: You are an Architect or Engineer with a construction background and 5+ years of experience designing large, complex construction projects and maybe even inside production facilities You have a proven track-record of designing and implementing standards in a global construction context, as a structured and analytical professional You are a great communicator, who is able to convey complex stuff in an easy and comprehensible manner across borders and cultures Speak and write English effortlessly Join the global LEGO® Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family, where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment across the LEGO Community.
