Senior Engineer for Mechanics Design (Maternity leave vacancy)

Part of Product Technology, we produce components with built-in mechanical and electronic functions for new product development - from early ideation to production. As Senior Engineer, you participate in the end-to-end process of conceptualisation, design and validation of mechatronic LEGO® bricks and delivering a product ready for mass production. More specifically, your tasks include: Translating customer needs into functional design solutions Design, validation and delivery of technology components (LEGO mechatronic bricks) within the disciplines of mechanic functions, pneumatics, gear systems & motors, light & sound and mechatronics Designing for Manufacturing and defining process technology together with colleagues and suppliers Leading technical developments and achieving shared goals through collaborating with colleagues Performing tests to validate products, including technical documentation Everyday creativity You will join a company where we invite you to think both logically and creatively in everything you do. Experienced, independent and proactive engineer To be a success, you must have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy achieving goals in a team environment. You will be challenged on your ability to successfully combine quality, price, technology and world-class play experience in products. This means that you are able to put your creative, curious and inventive mind-set into play while translating customer needs into functional design solutions. In addition, you: Have a degree in Engineering, and any experience with MTM or similar. Manufacturing design or process technology know-how is an advantage Have experience with assembly and high volume manufacturing and plastics material selection, preferably within the Asian supply chain Have technical experience in construction of mechatronic and plastic components and CAD design as well as proven skills in 3D drafting and construction as well as 2D documentation Have experience in design for Six Sigma or other similar design tools Are a flexible and structured team-player and you communicate effortlessly in English.
