We are now looking for a seasoned backend engineer to build and manage
our backend infrastructure in PHP and Lumen (Laravel). Our new developer
should be able to effortlessly manage a large, complex system and will be the
champion of suggesting and developing better ways of doing things from an
architecture standpoint. Clean and structured code is a must! Our new team
member will coordinate with the rest of the development team working on
various levels of the infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
● Design and construction of our REST API
● Design and deployment of our database systems
● Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability
● Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment
Required Skills:
● PHP with at least three years of full-time experience
● Laravel / Lumen with at least two years of experience with the framework
● MySQL / MariaDB Database design and management, including being up
on the latest practices and associated versions
● REST API
● Payment Gateways (Braintree / Stripe)
● External APIs of different external services like AWS (S3, Cloudfront,
Lambda), Mailchimp, Sendgrid etc.
● Server deployment Server management and deployment for the relevant
environment
● Unit testing Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
● GIT
● Documenting Ability to write clean and well documented code
Nice to have (Optional):
● NodeJS
● DynamoDB
● Ubuntu
● Docker
● Frontend Javascript and ReactJS
