Oticon is a large, growing company in the medical-technical industry where our +450 engineers are all committed to deliver well-made, high tech solutions for hearing impaired people worldwide. As our new Requirement Analyst, you join the Fitting Solutions team. You will be part of creating a new fitting software platform for supporting the fitting process for our most modern and highly complex hearing instruments. The software enables the dispenser to fit the hearing instruments and present advanced features in the most optimal way.
Fitting Solutions Requirement Team
Our team consists of 10 ambitious experts, who develop the detailed specifications for the functionality in our software solutions. Besides specifying functionality in detail, the team also ensures that individual features are consistent across our solution including the overall flow for the fitting process.
The team works closely with product marketing, software development and testers as an integrated part of the development process. The team contributes to reaching the overall strategic targets of the organization by ensuring that our software solutions support the fitting process effectively for our customers. Specifications are made from a mix of formal requirements documented in IBM Rational Doors and supplementary documentation like flowcharts and interaction design.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Planning and driving the requirement definition process for specific solutions or features
Being part of defining new features and functionalities in line with market needs
Being able to work according to defined processes and tailoring them to the situation in a pragmatic way
Documenting requirements for our software solutions in accordance with our requirement structure using formal requirements
Conducting requirement reviews with stakeholders
Leading meetings, workshops and similar
To succeed in this position, you must have an agile mind set, being pragmatic, structured and have a sense of urgency. You get things done with pace and quality and are capable of planning your own tasks plus driving execution. You come across proactive, self-confident and are able to take decisions, involving and informing others when needed.
Ideal background
You hold a BSc or MSc in Engineering combined with several years of experience within requirement engineering. You possibly even hold a relevant certification with requirement engineering like IREB, have knowledge about FDA regulatory requirements, and know how to deal with this in the requirement process. We also expect you to have experience in working with requirements management systems.
You have the ability to easily establish a high-level understanding of the problem domain and existing solutions including focus on market needs. You are used to work with several abstraction levels.
